I don’t play video games (beyond “Dr. Mario,” but that’s neither here nor there), but I think “Ace Attorney” is a good product (or at least, it seems to be popular). ~Chat
The greatest detective of all time, Sherlock Holmes himself, will be making his debut appearance in the Ace Attorney series when next year’s The Great Ace Attorney launches. This news was revealed by Famitsu (via Kotaku), who debuted the first screenshots of Sherlock Holmes in the game along with Watson, who is now an 8-year old girl genius named Iris.
Intriguingly, Watson lives with Holmes as she is writing The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, which lines up canonically with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s books. The duo will be part of the “collaborative deduction” system, which looks to bring a new gameplay element into the long-running series.
The Great Ace Attorney is set to be released on the 3DS in the Spring of next year in Japan, though release dates for other regions have not been revealed as of this time.
Condemn O.R. Condone:
When it was first announced that the Ace Attorney series would be going back in time, I was immediately excited due to the fact that you would now be solving cases in a time that was far less technologically advanced. However, I never even imagined that there was the potential to have Sherlock Holmes himself enter the story, and that fact alone has me pumped for this new series now.
