I cannot agree with this hard enough. I will gladly introduce myself to you and enjoy your company in person, but I expect you to respect my anonymity online. That’s what it is – a simple matter of respect. I have no intention of going into really personal details, but having been through extremely painful abuse and threats made to me in various…[Read more]

Ugh I’m so sad I can’t go this year. 🙁 Next year, even if I have to walk from Ohio!!
Have a drink for me! Yay!

ScarletSherlock started the topic Morland Holmes in the forum CBS’ “Elementary,” starring Jonny Lee Miller 7 years, 2 months ago
So now that we have seen Papa Holmes in action, what do we think? I love John Noble in everything I’ve ever seen him in (Walter Bishop, sob) and I think he is great so far. We still don’t know much about him – he has a quiet dignity to him, and so far he hasn’t actually been terrible to Sherlock. Joan’s “I’m not gonna let you hurt him” BOOM mic…[Read more]

Yes, you read that title right! It seems a little odd, but David Arquette of Scream fame, and a member of Hollywood’s enduring Arquette family (Patricia, Rosanna, etc.), is doing a new comedic Sherlock Holmes […]

Okay I finally got through the entire season of Elementary (I am TOO OLD FOR THIS TO BE ON SO LATE) because Hulu now has all three seasons streaming! Yeaaah!!!
We haven’t discussed Kitty’s arc much here. Those first thirteen episodes were so stellar it was almost like a separate season. I really think the writers and actors handled it all…[Read more]

The time zones are probably pretty weird too. If you ever feel like you could jump in, let us know and we can try to adjust that. I’m sure I could stay up late. 🙂 🙂 I think we decided on The Great Mouse Detective for this time.
Thanks for that! I love that type of “headcanon.” Totally makes sense to me.

I actually think that you would really really love it. While I really love Jonny Lee Miller in all things, this is the Joan Watson Show, with occasional Guest Appearances by Mrs. Hudson, Jamie Moriarty, and the Greatest Kitty Winter of Our Time.
I’m a complete idiot for this show. I’m like Sherlock fans are with Sherlock. It’s my favorite…[Read more]

Whew, okay good! Yeah it has been like 2 years at least, but I feel bad cause that was a good reveal. Which I called from the very first episode she was in, hehe.

HAAAAAAIIIII!! I’m so happy to see you here. HOLLAAAA for Clive Merrison. He’s so amazing. I have actually not seen any of either of the Russian Holmes shows because of the subtitles thing…I should look into that!!

I like that we are all diverse in our reading materials. 🙂
I use Comixology on Kindle sometimes! It’s a little weird not to have the paper comic right in front of you but you can blow up the panels bigger, and the colors are fantastic. I use that a lot if I want to try out a new title & I’m not sure I’ll like it.

There have been a couple of SUPER GROSS articles like THIS ONE that I have just found so condescending and vile. Somebody who is a bigger fan of Butawhiteboy Cantbekhan (I’m sorry, that one makes me just die laughing) told me at a con that Cucumberpatch is not real fond of it either. I guess he thought “Cumbercookies” was cute but his suggestion…[Read more]

I basically agree with everything Chat said here. I felt so privileged being on panels with so many amazing people. The Shakespeare panel was the absolute best panel I have ever done at any convention. My mind was blown. The enthusiasm of the audience was palpable; I was really freaked out at first to see SO MANY PEOPLE sitting in front of me and…[Read more]

Yeah I just threw this question out because I’ve seen it floating around a lot of places. VIOLET HUNTER, DEDUCTIONEER is very very cute. I am a massive Elementary freak but I’ve really only seen that floating around on Twitter, which I guess is an odd place to try and use identifiers, anyway.

Hey there! Thanks for your AWESOME reply. I am still SO MAD we have to wait through six hundred Robert Downey Stark movies to get another Holmes film! That ending is brutal (though the image of Holmes in the “chair suit” is hilarious).
Jared Harris is actually probably my third favorite Moriarty, after Henry Daniell and Natalie Dormer. Eric…[Read more]

ScarletSherlock replied to the topic So… do you guys recommend the Mary Russell series? in the forum Laurie R. King's Series 7 years, 6 months ago
King herself said she regrets her Watson portrayal. Last I heard she has plans to write a book from Watson’s point of view. Her next one “The Death of Mary Russell” is actually all about Mrs. Hudson. It is a pretty terrible Watson portrayal.
For me the marriage was completely unnecessary. I would’ve enjoyed these so much more without it. I don’t…[Read more]
